Car speakers that have a large cone (big dish) with a tiny tweeter in the middle are not components. Component speakers move that tweeter into its own, separate housing and use the entire surface of the large cone.
A 6 1/2" component has both the 6 1/2" mid/bass speaker and a little tweeter. That'* a lot more expensive than going with a non-component. If you put in a non-component speaker, simply hook it up to positive and negative but leave the stock tweeters that you have now disconnected.
The wires always change in color. It'* by year, sometimes by a few years at a time. On the 92-99 Bonnevilles, it'* mostly been tan/gray for pos/neg and light green/dark green for pos/neg on the other door. The presence of color or an increase in vibrance by comparison is indicative of the positive wire.

so a 61/2 component speaker (speaker with the tweeter in the middle) will most likely sound better than the stock set up the big dish and then the seperate tweeter up near the top of the door ( how my car is).

Components have no tweeters in the middle. The tweeter is separate. I can see how the first way I wrote it makes little sense. "Normal" car speakers, the cheaper ones, have the tweeter in the middle. However, those normal speakers will definitely sound better than your stock audio because the OE speakers in your SLE are kind of below average. However, please don't buy likewise below average speakers. Consider Infinity, Alpine, and the like.

I don't like Pioneer as much. They seem to be of lesser quality than before. However, they're the most expensive and rightfully the best sounding speakers you can pick up at Wal Mart. For a low price there, you can walk out with some 6x9 and 6.5" speakers to re-do your entire sound system and have actually a pretty good sounding car. Just don't buy Sony, whatever you do.
