Default Im New...... Have Question

Hi folks! Im new here. I dont have a Bonneville.... yet!
This is where you guys come in.
I really dont have much money to spend on a car. But the car I have now is very borring. I want something much more exciting, and I LOVE the Bonneville (2000 +)
SO.... if I want to get a Bonneville SLE that is 2000 or newer I have to get one with many miles on it. :?
Can anyone tell me the milage where Bonnevilles start needing many repairs? (ie water pump; alternator; solonoids; struts; etc.)

Here is the one Im looking at..... what do you think? http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...lor=&cardist=7

Thanks!

DEADLY SUSHI:
Looks like a decent buy. Mileage is not that high for a 2000 Bonneville. You may want to look at a 2002 model if you can afford an extra 4K. Personally I would get together a list of known problems for the 2000 Bonneville then spend a few bucks and let your mechanic check it out. I say this after reading your other thread. Also you will probably be able to talk the seller down an extra $750 to $1,000 off of the selling price.

that'* not a bad price. However at a dealership near me they have had 2 2000 SSEi'* sitting for a while and they are asking $12,000 for one and $13,400 for the other. Don't know the mileage tho...I do like the black, it'* just so hard to keep clean..GOOD LUCK CAR HUNTING!

Thank you it is a 2004 Bonneville.

From reading these posts it seems that the problems that plagued the 2000 Bonneville were corrected by the 2002 model year.

First of all welcome to the forum. I myself own a 2000 se, which I bought for about 11, it had about 43000 miles and as of today the only problems I have had with it are the window regulators. This is a common problem with the new generation bonnevilles so don't worry. I do hope you do decide to buy a bonneville. I understand its a big decision so if you have any questions, I suggest you use the forum to its fullest.

If you buy it, be prepared for the power window regulators to break at some point ($175-$300 each to replace depending on where you get them).

Also, if they haven't been replaced yet, there is a good chance you will need new front wheel hubs (about $400 each).

Aftermarket warranty will help with a lot of that.
