window doesn't go down
#11
how do you guys remove the old regulator without completely destroying it? IT took me an HOUR to get the regulator out, after all the bolts were removed. You have to slide the brackets down where it attaches to the window in order to get it out of the car, and it would NOT slide at all. I had to resort to cutting the cable in three different spots and literally destroying the old regulator to get it out. I was pulling down on the brackets with all my strength until I was LIFTING myself off of the ground, and I"m 195 pounds! THat thing would NOT budge at all. it sucks I had to basically destroy it, because now I cannot return it for a core. So how did you guys do it? THe rear regulator I did took me less than an hour to do, and it was very easy.. the front one just would not budge at all.

If it is not possible to have the motor put it down, then removing the motor should have allowed the sled to move freely. The motor and gearing will not allow you to move the assembly manually.

What about loosening the bolts that hold the window in the sled itself?? I believe they are 10 mm. I loosened the ones on the back windows by just a few turns and it slid right on down. I then removed the regulator out the side closest to the edge of the door. You have to do a little wiggling but it should come out that way.
