Default No Power to the Front Passenger Door

This morning I noticed that my front passenger door wouldn't unlock automatically. It wouldn't lock or unlock from the remote, nor from the button on either front door. In fact, the window wouldn't go up or down, and the door lights wouldn't come on either. So it seems that there is a complete loss of power to the front passenger door.

Has anyone seen this in any 2000+ Bonneville? Or any other model year? Is there some fuse or relay that I could check before taking it in to the dealership? Since it all happened so suddenly, it seems like a fuse/relay problem instead of a problem with each of the individual components in the door.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Strange. I went out to try the door again (and look things up in the manual) and magically, it works again. Hmm...

Ugh. And of course, it'* happening again. Seems to be permanent this time.

Looks like I'm making a trip to the dealership some time.

Default power loss

I have a 02 and the same thing has happened to my right rear window. For about 2 days the window would not roll up or down from the door or from the drivers side controls, then magicaly in about 2 days it started working again and hasn't stopped since. Please let me know if you find out if we need to have something replaced. Thanks

Default Shorts

If I were you, I would ask the dealership, because it could be a short out. Or at least it'* almost completly shorted out if it works intermitenly(sp?). I've had a few shorts in my 2002 SLE. Driver heated seat, fuel pump(which pissed me off SOOO much<--that one wanted to work occasionally), and a light in under the cluster. Only once did my rear window not want to go down, but I blamed that on the increadable heat down here in New Orleans. I figured the glass go stuck to the rubber part. That happened in June though.

There'* a control module in the door that provides power & ground functions for the door locks, window motors, heated mirrors etc. The control module communicates with one or two other modules (ie drivers door, rear integration module, etc) via serial data buses. Check the fuses in the rear fuse block for the windows, locks etc. In all likelyhood they are probably not blown. There may be a connector loose or a faulted module or something simple. One time the Driver Info Center in my dash went dark (switch module ) all functions on the DIC were inop. I popped the module out and found the connector just about ready to seperate. They never locked it in at the factory. Your Dealership techs should be able to localize this prob in short order.
