I THINK you have 2. Jstpsntym can confirm this for you. You'd have one in the downpipe between the rear exhaust manifold and firewall, and another right after the catalytic converter. Both should be 3 or 4 wire connectors. The one in the downpipe is the killer. That'* the little bugger that will cause you to run rich as it fails. The sensor after the Cat is there only to make sure the Cat is removing the rest of the garbage in your exhaust.

OBD I cars, pre 1997 cars, should only have one O2 sensor. OBDII just has the added diagnostic capablity to monitor the effectivness of the cat and that is why it needs a second O2 sensor.

Delirious, your O2 should run about 30 bucks through gmpartsdirect.com

It'* a really good idea to stick with stock AC Delco parts on the O2. VERY good idea.

Here'* all the part numbers I know....you may have to call the dealer for a number from 00-03, but it might be the same as the newest listed here:

92/93---25162693
94/95---25312184
96/97---25312196
98/99---25312207

Word of caution here. From this info, you'd assume that JSeabert and I have the same O2, cuz I have a 93SSEi and he has a 93SSE, right? Nope. Mine is a single-wire sensor and his is a 3-wire like the 94. Anyone else have a 92/93/94 that can give me some details? Also anyone else that'* purchased an O2 lately that can confirm these numbers would be great.
