Default Warranty Maintenance: Are there any caveats?

This may be a very dumb question... but I have never owned a car with a factory warranty before. I'm interested in preserving the warranty and was wondering about the following:

1) Do I have to have oil changes, etc. performed at the dearlership?
2) Can I replace air/oil filters with non-GM (i.e. Fram) filters?
3) How about tire rotation? From what I understand, this is not covered during the warranty period. Can I have this done anywhere?

And finally, are there any other caveats that I show know about?

Thanks.

warrenty covers things that are wrong or break on your car

1. no

2. yes

3. you can have new tires put on, if needed and changed anywhere

Thanks. That'* what I thought. I was kindof disappointed to see that the tires didn't come with any sort of road hazard, lifetime balancing, lifetime rotation, etc., but I guess that is just the way that it goes.

You can change the oil yourself or at any facillity you choose, the oil must be within factory spec.

Use any filter you desire, ac delco is a good choice

You can also rotate your own tires and there is a map on doing so in your manual.

Other cavets,

be sure and only use the pink engine coolant (dextron 3) the car came with, it does not mix with the green (glychol) and can cause terrible problems if you do.

you can also get your brakes and muffler done at any shop you desire without voiding warrenty.
