Default Can't fill the gas tank?!

Just started noticing this on our 01 SE. Gas pump keeps shutting off when I am trying to fill the tank. Even a completely empty tank.. I have to go really slowly and then it only maybe does it 5 or so times before the tank is full. If I try to fill'er up like you would any other car (insert the nozzle, squeeze the handle and let it fill), things shut off almost immediately. Any ideas what'* going on? I've never seen this happen on a bunch of other cars I drove, so I presume it'* not me . Now, the car was bought used and does have some paint job around driver side rear quarter panel, so I am wondering if it has been hit and something is a bit bent?

Sounds like it'* maybe not venting properly? Not sure which components affect that but I'm sure someone else here will chime in.

Sounds like a problem with your evap canister or hoses that lead to it.
Our cars are equiped with ON-Board refueling vapor recovery system that collects the fuel vapors while refueling.
Has the car shown any 'ses' codes yet?

Thanks for the info guys!
The engine is not running when trying to fillup, so it'* not that. No SES codes either, and the car seems to be happy otherwise

It clicked off alot the last few tanks and this morning it puked gas about 3 times before it slowly started taking gas. Just before it puked the gas out I could here air trying the escape and just forced the gas all over me. I need to check the vent yet
