Default sounds like tires tread is rubing

Well no more p0134 code, motor is runing like new and all is well.......well I thought so for a day.

I was driving around enjoying my beautiful runing ssei and I start to hear what sounds like tires rubing or like my truck did with nobby tires and the faster I go the more faster the sound is.

Almost sounds like a howl but I am starting to feal it in the floor board. When I turn to the left the noise quiets but when I turn to the right no change.

Could this be my bearings going?

And are not the bearings self contained on these cars?Meaning I will have to buy a whole new hub?It seems to be coming from the drivers side.

I know that it sounds like..... doesnt tell much but like I said the best way to describe it is it sounds like my front tires are nobby tires on my truck.

So when you turn right is doesn't get louder? Sounds like the drivers side fron hub bearing is going out. The reason it quiets when you turn is cause you are taking most of the stress of of the left front wheel bearings.

Check the tires for feathering. Or better yet, rotate the tires and see if it goes away. If so, off to the alignment shop. Pat

i believe it sound like a wheel bearing too, check on the Intense site, they got good pricing for the Hub assembly. (If thats your problem)

Rotating the tires is a good way to know if its a tire.

Check everything else with tires first but I put money on wheel bearing
If you find it is wheel bearing you can try wheelbearingsinc.com

Not really a hard job but you need the right tools - which I rent/ borrowed from part source
You need a large socket for hub nut 32mm I think and I needed the puller mine wouldnt come out.Caliper needs to come off.

O.K. , thanx guys for all the responses.

When I turn to the left hard, the noise almost goes away and when I go around a corner at 55 to the right the noise seems to get louder at time exspcially when its a hard turn to the right just as the harder to the left the more the noise goes away so I am pretty sure its the bearings on the drivers side.

So is there anyway to check except for the noise thing to see visually if the bearing is bad?Again thank you for the quick response and sorry I didnt get back to you guys I had mega overtime this weekend!!!
