Default Tranmission additive

Has anyone heard of or used Lucas Transmission addiitive? My son changed my trans filter and fluid and recomended Lucas additive. He used to work at Advance Auto Parts and a lot of costomers. swore by it. My Bonneville is a 2000 SSEi with a3.4 pulley as the only mod. 79000 miles on it.

well, a bit off topic - if you have only a 3.4 pulley with no supporting mods, you most likely have KR

I use to use Lucas in my trans before the rebuild. A few weeks after my motor rebuild, I changed the trans filter and fluid. I neglected to put Lucas in at that time. About 3 weeks later my trans went out. I also use to have a bad P/* pump whine. I flushed the fluid and put a bottle of Lucas P/* stop leak in the resivour. It instantly stopped the whine. Coincidence?????...................Maybe. But its a fact that both the engine and trans were running great with Lucas in them and both failed shortly after the Lucas was removed. Not saying that was the cause. But its kinda ironic. This is what my crank bearings looked liked 2 oil changes after I stopped using Lucas oil stabalizer. I had an UIM failure which soon after lead to the destruction of my crankshaft. BTW, I still use Lucas in the P/* and Engine (syn. formula). Both my fresh engine and trans get treated to Mobil 1 full synthetic.

I used the Lucas addative after the last flush and it seamed to help with tranny slipping.
Tranny finally died though 18 months later :?
