ok if i get it home-made at a pipe bender... is the 3" dp made to work with the stock manifolds.. im not ready to upgrade them, but i am getting this 3" cat on and i dont want to have to change it later...

so right now my plans are, stock manifolds to 3" dp to 3" cat to stock mufflers to tips of undecision

Heh. Same as my plans before I attack the valve train... except that I love the stock tips on the SSEi so I'll be sticking with those. Keep us posted on how it goes?

does our dp have a flex tube in it or is all that flex taken care of at the gasket joint?

Hey Andrew,
If you want to make a run up to Alexandria next Saturday I'll set up an appointment for both of us.
I was scheduled to have it done tomorrow morning (along with a 3" resonator and 3" piping to the muffler -I still have my Flowmaster 80 Series but not sure I want to use it with 3" piping -too loud) but my schedule changed and I had to cancel.

Call me if you're interested.
BTW -I had them do the 3" DP on my 98 SSE ($45 installed), but at that time they could only use the stock flex-pipe off my original DP. Now they have a 3" mesh flex-pipe (bring header wrap to reduce the crackling sound emitted from these things), but I'm not sure how much they charge for those.
