Dual Exhaust-stock options
--Guys
Is it possible to add a left muffler to a single exhaust SE? Basically a mirror image of the right? I was under my car this afternoon and noticed the threads were there in the frame rail to mount a muffler hangar. I would like the symetric look of dual exhaust.
A Y-fitting off the main pipe and then add the left muffler? Can this be done?
Thanks.

What I'm wondering is if a person can locate or buy a new OEM muffler for the left side of these cars, as say on an SLE or SSei??? I'm not really interested in putting aftermarket mufflers on it at this point.
Thanks.
Thanks.

i think that the OEM muffler would be available at the dealer...but aftermarket would be cheaper than OEM

Is there an aftermarket muffler out there that will sound like the stock muffler? I'm not interested in anything throaty. Just want the dual-pipe look.

Harry,
Welcome to the club for one. Next exhuast questions, the left and right mufflers on all 00-03 SSEi'* are made by Bosal and the left and right mufflers on all 2000-2005 SLE'* are made by Bosal as well the same company. I have visited Bosal'* website I forget the exact adress but type Bosal in on google or yahoo and thats how I found it. It is very possible to do that. I have a photo of the split look and you would need to do in order to modify it. Let me post it here. Give me a couple a minutes.
-Best Luck
