AFC 1.1 and our cars
Well, I thought I had an answer to my KR. The mini-afc 1.1 I got from Scott worked wonders the first time I started the car. I felt the difference immediately. Second time i started the car it did not feel as strong as when i put the AFC on. It has gotten worse to the point to where its now the same as when I didnt have it on. I am once again pulling about 3-4 degrees of KR even with rockers and headers. My 02 numbers are back down to around 900-920 and the car just doesnt like it.
It appears that the Bonneville PCM has leaned the car back out so that the 02 numbers are in the 900-920 range. i set the AFC to 104 from 103 and that helped but only until the PCM learned it and leaned the car back down. I have reset the PCM and taken off the AFC. Going to drive it for a bit and then re-add the AFC to see if i get the performance back. If I do (and im betting i will) then it appears as if the Bonneville PCM has the capability of undoing what the AFC does making the AFC a useless mod at least for the 00+ models. This doesn't happen with the w-body PCM'* apparantly which makes this a viable mod for the GP'*. I will keep you posted on the findings.
