I believe 2.5 as well. Don't quote me I could measure mine tho. Your car has dual Bosal mufflers on it now. They are high performance actually I would get a new cat before I touch the mufflers. I am sure the sound will be a smidge better. Good Luck post a video clip and lets here the Bonn rev.

The stock pipes in and out of the stock mufflers are 2".
The main pipe enters the resonator at 2 1/2" then exits at 2 1/4", then splits into twin 2" pipes.
Unless you are supercharged, I would stay with the stock sizes......maybe 2 1/4" twins max.

Default mufflers

well i have a thrasher intake right now so it already sounds nice, but i wasn't trying to make the mufflers and pipes bigger, i just wanted to get a borla muffler that fit my stock pipes, no bigger, so would it even make a difference or would it be less bower, worse sound? and you say there are performance mufflers stock on 02 sle'*? i mean it did sound nice stock...thanks for the replies

yes you wouldnt notice any difference in performance, just more sound, MORE.

You will get the best of both world with a high flow cat, for less $$ .

Slightly more sound and slightly better power.

Yeah get the cat... You have a dual Bosal exhaust system... Hold on I'll post a pic of the system. The mufflers already sound great and are pretty good design for performance any more than that would be over the top. Pass the mufflers get a high flow cat!
