Default Wheel hub/bearings

I need to replace the front wheel bearings on the bonneville. The price for these is pretty hefty. I have seen some people who have purchased off of ebay, 1AAuto, etc. where they are about $90. Has anyone gone the cheaper route and put enough miles on to give some feedback. The best all around I have been able to find is $170 with a 2 year warranty.

Thanks

alright i literally just did that to my 2001 SE
i have a body shop discount through the family but gooooood ones will run 150
the cheapos are about 90. now i do not have any evidence saying the cheaper ones are a "you get what you pay for" but i look for the best of best when it comes to my bonneville, ive learned the hard way on my 1992.

hope this helps
see if you have a NAPA auto parts around, thats where i got mine

If I had to do it over again I would definitely go the gmpartsdirect route. I bought some lifetime cheapies ($87 each I believe) off the net. So far in 8 month I have had 3 failures. First the driver'* left side started setting Stability Control-Traction Control-ABS lights. It was an electrical problem in the new hub. Then the "free" replacement lasted about 3 weeks. It started sounding like the old wheels bearings, humming, roaring, and all. That was a mechanical failure. The supplier accused me of re-retailing them and cancelled my lifetime warranty. I laughed and told him I would have to be nuts to replace any more of his crap bearings, free or not. That replacement seems to be doing ok, but now my other side new one is starting to rumble. You get what you pay for. I will say this, the cheapy wheel bearing hubs were well-packaged, and beautifully finished and painted. Beauty is only skin deep. If any one would like to know the name of the supplier please email me.

I don't know what GM Parts Direct price is, but Intense sells them for $150.
