I'll weigh in on the other side. While the supercharger itself is quite reliable, the rest of the car quite honestly is a total POS. I literally cannot keep ahead of everything that is going wrong with mine and I have 89,000 miles on it. If I thought that it was just me that had a lemon, I wouldn't be saying this but the problems are well documented and wide spread.
While I don't doubt your issues, it sounds like you got the proverbial lemon. No matter how good the cars are, they always produce one that'* a bit sour.
The L67 is FAR less troublesome than the L36.
The supercharger itself is good for at LEAST 150,000 miles before maintenance (that you can do yourself) when left in stock form.
