Cabin Filter for a 2005 (CF8804?)
My 2005 Bonneville SE did not come with a cabin filter. From the searches that I have done it appears that if I order a Fram CF8804 that it will fit without any additional hardware. Is that correct? Just want to be sure before I order one for $30 (none in my small town).

Ok, but my Bonnie did NOT come with a filter so I have nothing to remove. That is why I was wondering if I needed any additional hardware.

I bought the kit from gmpartsdirect and all I was missing was the clip to secure it, but as you can see a tie strap was sufficient. Let us know if the Fram kit has the clip that goes here. Pat

To be honest, you don't even need to secure the filter.

There are two part numbers, one for just the filter, the other for the filter and bracket. If you don't have the bracket then I suggest you get it with your first filter then just get filters from then on.

Fram filter
My Fram cabin filter came today. The filter has a plastic housing. It has foam tape to give it a good sale to the car body to seal out dust. It has plastic spring clips that hold it in the proper position and one of those spring clips has a pin on it that snaps into a hole in the cars metal to hold it into position. Nothing else was needed, just the filter. It slipped right into place and will be very easy to remove for replacement.
My car did not come with a filter, so it was nice to get everything I needed in one package.
