RIP
True Car Nut
A sticking pressure control solenoid in the transmission is the most common cause. Sometimes, a can of Seafoam'* TransTune will help free it up, at least temporarily.

Read his reply again. Get a can of Seafoam TransTune and let it run through for awhile.
What does your trans fluid look and smell like? Is the level correct? Good and pink? Not burnt smelling after driving awhile?

If it were my car I'd put SeaFoam Trans Tune in it and run it for about 3000 miles then change the fluid and seafoam again. Changing the fluid only gets maybe 8 of the 11 quarts. If the fluid is burnt, I would want to get as much of it replaced as possible. The burnt fluid is likely the source of a sticky Pressure Control Solenoid.
If the soft parts are still okay, I recommend a shift kit also. It can be installed when you drop the pan to change the filter.
