Oil Filler Suction?
While my car was running, I wanted to check the color/dirtiness of the oil, so I untwisted the oil filler cap, and it had a huge amount of suction on the cap that almost stalled the car out when i pulled i off.
Now, I have always taken this cap off of all of my cars, and never had any of them stall out.
My mom'* Intrigue also is the 3.8L and she doesn't have this suction on hers.
And I know for a fact that mine was fine, with no suction, roughly 3 weeks ago.
So, here'* my question...which way is normal? and what valve controls that pressure?

The o-ring is on, and everything looks to be put together right. Is the pressure on the oil filler cap due to the map sensor maybe? or is it more mechanical vs. electrical?
Edit -- can anyone find or take pictures of the series II PCV valve? I can only find older ones..

Hmm... I don't remember seeing a bottom one, only the redish-orange one on the top... Maybe this is my problem.
Anyone have pictures?

When I get home from work today, I will try putting in the old PCV valve to see if the new one is defective maybe.
Pictures of the o-rings would still be nice...

Perfect, i was missing the o-ring on the pcv valve itself. That fixed the suctioning... now do you think that will stop the high-pitched squealing?? i sure hope so...because then i woudln't have to buy a really expensive alternator.
Thank you all, esp. for the diagram.
