I have been chasing the same symptom on my 97 Bonne SE. No codes but still the stumble/ miss. Think I will just put 3 new coils on it as car just turned 285,000 kms. Should I go with factory or something after market? Car is all stock. I am in Ontario Canada but will be going to Watertown NY in a few weeks.

If your going to replace the coils, just use OEM, after market coils just don't stand up as well.

From a quick check at Partsource it seems that my 2000 Pont. Sunfire has the same coils as my 97 Bonneville. I know I have 2 new coils in a box somewhere.
Are most GM products using the same coils?

A lot of the 3800 engines use the same coil, can't say for other sizes.
