Notes from changing engine mount (really trans mount)
Changed the transmission mount today, almost everyone calls this a motor mount.
It was very easy to do. All that is needed is a floor jack, 11/16 and 15 mm sockets and ratchets.
Spray PB Blaster a few days before. I didn't have a block of wood to put between the floor jack and engine, so I used one of my Wife'* cook books.
Took under an hour, with a hot engine in Phoenix. Without gloves I would not of been able to do the job.
The picture of the old mount shows the damage at the bottom of the base. You can't see the damage when the mount is installed.

Well done Mike. Be thankful it wasn't a 92-99 series forward mount LOL. That bracket is a bear to get out.

Just a friendly "heads up" from a newb in his first post, your brake lines look just like some of mine do. Ready to rust through and spray fluid everywhere !
I just pulled out my bubble flaring kit the other day. They sure don't galvanize items like they used to !

I would definitely change the mount ASAP. I regret not replacing mine years ago. It really makes a huge difference. Most of the big box auto stores don't stock, RockAuto has them for $30, but a week+ for shipping. Amazon has then for $40, and two day free delivery for prime customers.
Amazon lists two brands for sale, one at $40 and one at $55. I believe they are the same exact manufacturer, just different boxes.

BTW- the Chandler, AZ pic a part has a corrosion free 2004 Bonneville SLE. The brake lines, everything look like new. If someone needs brake/ fuel lines drop me a pM, I may be able to pull them for you. Shipping is another matter....
