Short lived glory
I recently picked up a non running 2000 ssei well maintained but would just crank over ,so I put a new cps on it and it started was told I might have to do a relearn as it cranks over quite a few time before it starts.anyway now it is doing the same thing just cranks with no visible spark at the coils.I know it'* possible that a new cps could be faulty but is there anything else that would cause a no spark issue. When it was running it was smooth no shakes.thanks Mark

Actually, there is a CPS relearn procedure you should technically have the dealer perform. Practically speaking, I have replaced 3 or 4 CPS'* and never had a problem not doing the relearn.
Get rid of that crap CPS you bought, and when replacing it with a good one check the condition of the harmonic balancer, looking for any cracks or missing pieces.

The garage where I get some of my work done said yes for a relearn to set things up quick if it turns over alot before starting as mine does like 30 times,he said sometimes you don't have to he has seen it either way.as for the cps it seems ok as I have spark after cleaning up the ICM back and mounting surface I guess a bad ground.
