Heating problem 2000 SLE Dual Climate Control
Hi everyone, this is my first post on this site. I was reading through parts of the message forum, what a great resource this is! I'm hoping someone can help me with my problem.
My car has the dual climate control. Almost all the time it will not blow any warm air unless I set the thermostat to 90. Once set to 90, it blows hot air just fine. If I turn it down one click to 85, the air is cold. Any suggestions? Every once in a great while it will seem to work properlyt. It'* really annoying, and I'm concerned that one day I might not have any heat at all! If anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. Thanks,
Shane

It sounds like the interior temperature sensor thinks that the temperature is much higher than it actually is and is trying to bring in outside air to cool things down. Maybe someone who knows where the sensor is or has more experience on these systems will jump in.
