Default 2000 Bonneville - Wheel Hub/Bearing Question

Hey guys. I'm going to replace one of the front hub assemblys on my 2000 Bonneville as it has been making that awful droning noise for some time now. My question is... which one needs to be replaced. I know its one of the front ones... because when I turn the car ever so slightly to the left the noise goes away. However, any movement to the right and the noise becomes louder. I reckon I have one good one and one bad one. Question is... which wheel has the bad hub? Do I need to replace the hub on my left front tire or my right front tire?

....also.. the parts shop here sells two brands..

one is a Fenco hub assembly for about $170 Cdn and the other is a SKF hub assembly for 245 Cdn. Not a huge difference in price but still... was wondering which one would be the better choice? ...or even if there is another brand I should consider?

Thanks again guys

When you turn to the right that puts the load to the left side and causes the noise to get louder. So your bad bearing is most likley on the left side. These wheel bearings may not even feel loose when yoy try to wiggle the wheel.

I went with Timken'*. You may want to replace both if you can afford it. When one goes, the other one is usually not far behind.

+1 for Timken. I bought mine on Amazon for under $100. Nicer quality for way less than the junk ones.
It'* only $85.90 now with free shipping: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ef=oss_product
513179 is the part number.
I thought only the rear bearings push/pull test were the ones that sometimes would not move but could still be bad??????
When I tested mine, there was about a 1/16" play in my front left (the bad one) and the right was solid and did not move at all.
