Default car wont start

I was soposed to take the car to the bodyshop today & this morning the car wont start.

Last thing I did to to it was to mess with the fuses cause I have problems with one of the front lights. First I thought it was battery related, but I conected it to another car & nothing happened.

What it does is that when you turn the key nothing happens & like a second afther you let go the gauges jump a little. The sign that says security on the dash is blinking, but Im not shoure if that is normal.

could it be the security system or is it an electrical problem? How can I tell? The problem I have is that I dont have the normal key or the control for the alarm. The only thing I have is the grey valet key.

It certainly sounds as if it could be the pass key system that is keeping it from starting. The security light should go out after a few seconds. The best test is to use a different key, of which you don't have.

Something to try as a test, is to pull the "IGN" fuse from the under-hood fuse block (I can't recall if it'* IGN1 or IGN2 but try both), check the fuse, and try to push the connectors in the block a bit closer together to make better contact with the fuse.

& if it was the alarm... the only way to deactivate it would be with the beeper?

The alarm, as such, wouldn't keep the car from starting. I don't remember if the valet key fits the doors, or not but, if it does, unlocking with the key should shut the alarm off, too.

You could head off to the dealer, and have them pull up your vin and cut a cut for you. Not exactly a cheap solution, nor one that would be guaranteed to fix your problem.

False. It doesn't work with the trunk. Just the doors and ignition, that'* it.

Where did you buy the car, as it only has the valet key, and no remote entry fob? If it was a dealer, I'd be asking them about the proper keys.

Do I have to record myself opening the trunk with my magical valet key so that you belive me?

I bought the car from an auction. It was hit from the front, & I had to replace both lights, the hood which I did in fiberglass, the bumper cover, bumper foam, & impact bar. Now the cool thing is that the car had 55,000miles & I got it for $3,000.00
I have spend around $1,000.00 in parts, did the work myself & all that is left is to get it painted.
