Smacked off my passenger side mirror
Ok I was going through my alley like normal and some idiot had his garbage can out in the road a bit and my passenger side mirror smacked it. The casing is still on the car but the actual mirror fell out and is hanging from a cord. Is there an easy way to push this mirror back into place kinda like snapping it back in? I tried in the dark and got it to hold in place but it seems like there is a little nipple that pushes into the housing, in the morning I am going to try and see if I can snap it back in, any ideas what I can do to save my mirror?

I don't think it can be snapped back in, looks like your gonna need to find the same type of mirror and have it painted if you can't find your color

If the plastic backing is still on the mirror, then it'* likely you can snap it back in. Our mirrors are meant to come off and snap back in. A hard hit like that might have snapped a holding point. But you may also have gotten lucky.

be VERY careful when snapping it back in. There is a large center snap 2 adjusters, and also 2 sensors.
first remove the adjusters, (they have a small metal clip on the end) and insert them into the mirror motor
then start in the center of the mirror glass and make sure that you get the snap secured FIRST. Then move the mirror in all directions untill you hear everything click
if you are not careful with the small semsor pins, you will break them, and them your mirror will not have any memory function

I see the 1 sensor on the right but not on the left I guess it might have fell off in the hit...but I see the center snap and the surrounding snaps..but when I go to snap it back in I can only get the right sensor to snap in place so the mirror is crooked, and the center will not snap in. OMG what do I now...I guess it is to the shop...I can get it to hold in place by the right sensor with the clip and the mirror funtions somewhat when I move it from the car, b ut the center will not snap nor the left side.
