Default Starting Problems

I have 2000 Bonne na. Last year I had to replace the fuel pressure reg due to leak down and would have problems starting the car. Now a year latter I am having the same problem. Does anyone know if there is a fuel reg out there that I don't have to replace every year?

Are you seriously asking this question?

What brand did you replace with?

GM part. I have only had this car for 2 years and now have had to replace two regs. I know it sounds stupid but I got one from Napa this time and I will see how long this one lasts. Always had good luck with Napa. Was wondering if there was anything else on these motors that would cause these to keep going bad ie. heat

Honestly.. you are the first I've heard of with a repetive problem on a FPR. Most of the 00+'* don't seem to ever have a first go bad.

Maybe it'* Murphy'* law.. maybe a bad one.

I agree with trying the Napa.

The first time I replaced it waas for a recall. I recieved the letter from GM saying there was a recal on the FPR and took it in. They replaced it for free, of course, and ran great for quite a while. This is the only problem I have had with this can except for the rear window regulator breaking last December brr. Anyway I will see how this one workes. Besides looking to put in bigger FI'* and FP and do some upgrades. Holley makes a pretty good FPR but I don't know if they make one that will fit stock or if I have to modify the rail.

I know that there was a recall on some that used a Delphi FPR, but I too have not heard of repeated problems with the FPR on the 00+*. Most that I have seen are simply stamped "Made in Germany" and I haven't had any experience with those going bad.
