Default radiator hose

I've noticed that my top hose from engine to radiator is collasped(about halfway) the couple times I have checked it. The engine was hot at the times I've checked. I will check it cold. everything esle normal , cooling tank level ok, temp ok (195-200) someone told me this is normal, but I"m not sure. wanted to get a little imput from you guys here. thanks in advance for any suggestions This is on a 2001 SSEI

Mine doesn't do that, so I suspect it not a good thing.

With 80,000 on the ticker, and considering how easy it is to replace, I would recommend replacing it. (Along with the lower, and possibly the belts)

did the hose feel hot when you touched it? I would put a new hose on regardless, its a cheap easy fix.

I agree, replace the hose, and also the radiator cap. It may not be venting properly. Any coolant loss?

No cooling loss, like I said beside the hose, everything looks fine. The hose looks barand new. I was thinking about a cooling flush, change t-stat and see what that does.

Do this first. It may be all you need to do. If the new cap doesn;t fix it, then do new hose and t-stat.
