Well today I ordered my Intense PCM, vss spoof and diff install kit. Later this week I will be installing my quaife diff and do a few dyno runs with the DHP. I know the programming is set up for the Thrasher cam, but I'll see what the #,* are compared to my last dyno with the thrasher cam and stock program. Then I will put in my Intense pcm, set up for the 1x cam, and go back a week later and see what kind of #* are put down. I know it isn't a fair comparison, just to see the difference in numbers. I'll keep you posted.

Go big or stay home eh Bob?

Why the new intense pcm if you already have the dhp? Couldnt they reprogram it for the new cam? Just curious as I'm soon to upgrade to a custom pcm :P

I'll tell you how all this started and maybe this will shed some light on the situation. It all started with deciding to go rockers or cam. I bought a set of SLP 1.8 rockers. Was going to install them but thought this will only take me so far, and a cam has a lot of room for growth. So talking to different venders I was talked into a Thrasher cam. It was against my better judgement, but I ordered it anyway. The reason behind it was Thrasher was going to offer programming for the cam. Then the tranny died. At the time Thrasher customer servive and Mike Dye were there for all my questions and help. All was good till the tranny with the ratrio change and high stall converter. Kept asking about programming for the gears and constant stalling, and the harsh shifting. NO answer. This went on for months, and cost me another tranny. So I finall tracked down Charles from DHP and after several months of emails and another tranny, both out of my pocket, we met up and he did a base program for me. It was fine no complaints, just decided to get rid of the cam from hell and get a milder one. So I searched around and Intense was offering the new cam. And there was news of computer support for their product. So after many, many emails to Scott, I went with their cam and PCM. I figure it is their cam, so they will know what programming to go with it. The more I think about it I will not go through all the dyno testing. I don't want to start a pissing contest. I will keep the DHP, and see how the new computer runs. I can always have a custom tune done. All I'm looking for is alittle product support.

There certainly are advantages to living in closer proximity to where all the parts and vendors are in that part of the world.
Us "Boonie boys" who live in more remote places have to settle for blind faith and hope that products work as advertised. Isn't the Internet great.
One click gets it quick.....one call gets it all...........ya right.
