Default Disabling Daily Running Lights

Hey Guys,

I just recently ordered the HID low beams and fog lamps for my 2005 SLE and was wondering how to disable the daily running lights. I have read around on the forum, and seems like there is a rely that needs to be unhooked/unplugged (90'* models) and was wondering if this was the same for the 2005. If so, which rely needs to be unhooked, and how substantial is the procedure to do? Any hints or tips would be appreciated!

Thanks guys,
Eric

Pull Relay #30 and run a jumper between where 86 and 87 would be on the relay

Just curious, why are you wanting to disable the DRL'*? They are the highbeams, and if you only ordered lows/fogs then DRL'* won't affect the HID'* at all.

YutzyBrian - Thanks for the link to that thread. I must have missed that when I did a search on DRL.

Mouse - The Running lights are really the high beams?? I figured the DRL'* were the low beams, and therefore figured i would disable them so i wasnt running HID all the time.....Why did you disable yours? Just wondering...

Yeah, the DRLs are in the High beams. I disabled mine because I drive with my fogs on all the time and hated the look of DRLs and fogs.

Same reason I disabled mine. Which you also just reminded me I still need to extend my fog light wires to reach the fog lights in the new cover
