Another Window regulator bites the dust
Man, am I pissed! Yesterday, all I did was put the window back up and SNAP! It broke! This is the second reulator to break on me in a year! Only this one is on the other side of the car. I tell you this: after the first one broke, I close the doors very gently, never slam them. But this does not seem to help any.
Is this typical? Do they just break for now damn reason???
Anyway, the guy at the dealership told me not to get too upset that lots of other types of cars have this problem much worse. Is that true?
Well, it'* gonna hit my wallet today for about $430. I thought about just bolting the windows in place like I have read on this board...

Yeah, I saw your post AFTER I wrote mine. Then I felt kinda stupid.
Anyway, the dealership fixed the window regulator and only made me pay for the labor. They covered the part cost (which was awful nice of them!).
So, it'* fixed. I still want to buy a GXP though...!

Ahhh blast! My other rear window regulator went today. Tha';* once for each side so far.... Thankfully, I'm still under warranty. I'll be bringing her in this week, and may have them lube the intermediate shaft, or replace it if they got one, while I'm there. It'* not been to bad, but what the heck.
Sounds like a possible solution. Has anyone here done this?

Update:
I got my window regulator replaced today!!! Also, I got them to replace my intermediate shaft, and a tie rod too. All, thankfully under warranty. Would've cost well over 800 bucks! Man my ride is tight now. No more clunking or binding. They also gave me a front end allignment.
I took it out for a lil test spin tonight...
