This has been happening since I have owned my car. When I bought the car I was only given one key. It has the number '2' on the back of it so I assume that this means that it is 'driver 2' for the personalized options. My question is.....if this is the 'Driver 2' key, why does my car always revert back to the 'Driver 1' settings?

I have a 2000 SSEi

Thanks for the help.

This is just a shot in the dark, but I believe it has to do with whether or not you have the driver recognition active in the DIC. When it park you can go through the personalization options. One of the options is for the car to recognize the two different drivers. I got tired of it so I deactivated mine. I'm pretty sure mine always says "Driver 1" now regardless of what key I use, unless I acidentally hit one of the driver buttons on the door.

the number on the back of the Fob is not depenent to the settings

you can program a remote to either setting....so your "2" fob is on "1" settings
