Traction Control Question

Traction Control Question
ok, if I accelerate and get the tires spinning (which is easy seeming how there'* snow on the ground) my "trac activated" light stays on, on my dash until I let off of the gas. I can also feel a reduction of power while it'* on. (even though my tires aren't spinning anymore) If I let off the gas completely then try accelerating again the light goes off. Sometimes it'll stay on throughout the acceleration up to 55 MPH and even when I'm keeping a steady speed... Ideas?
also, I've noticed that when I turn my traction control off, it will allow me to spin the tires indefinately without kicking back on. I tried it on some very slick ice to just try it. I didn't let the tires spin any faster than 25 MPH.. I sustained this for about 10-15 seconds and the traction control did not turn itself back on. Wonder if my car is different than the Bonnevilles in that aspect?

when traction control is off, the stabilitrak (wich apply controlled brake) is still operating)
I tried and my "low trac" light turn off as soon as i get traction, anytime.

You can option to turn Trac Control off on the bonnes, but the PCM[stock] has a limiter even with it off to reduce higher RPMs with wheel spin so as not to burn the tranny after an extended period[not sure on exact seconds]. Ive turned it off before, and even with it off, with the stock pcm, the comp would kill power if the rpms reached a certain degree.

Guess I just wasn't revving it high enough to get the TC to kick back on then. I didn't go over 3,000 RPM. Torque management is an odd thing though. I can sometimes distinctly feel it on downshifts under heavy throttle. I'll hammer it and it'll downshift and the power will take a second or two to fully kick in after the shift. It'* an odd feeling definately.
