Default 01 SSEi vs other 00+

I have been thinking about the 01 SSEi in the for sale section, but I am wondering how they compare to other 00+ SSEi'* which ones are "better" or have less problems etc.

Any opinions on which models had better options, or any info I should know.

By searching the forum I have a list of some of the differences which is quoted below.

2000'* have eight additional interior lights. Two in each door panel. 2001 have reflector only.
2000 & 2001 have a key in both driver and passenger front door. 2002 only has driver front door with a key.
2000 & 2001 have a covered dual cup holder for the front console. 2002 has an open cup holder.
2000 & 2001 have the heated seats switches mounted on the console next to the TCS and have a small storage pocket above the ashtray. 2002 have the seat switches and TCS located where the storage pocket was.
2001 have On Star exterior antenae. Pre May 2000 don't.
2000 chrome swoop wheels have flat center cap. 2001 have raised center cap.

The big difference. 2001 SLE takes on the same exterior bumper facia and panels as 2000 SSEi.

SSEi got the sport suspension with Magnasteer. SLE got the same suspension as the SE, at least in '00 that was the case.
I also know of some of the common problems, steering shaft, trunk leak, door water deflectors, and the rear window things.

What else should I be considering which would make me look at a different year? A stand point of modding for more performance is welcome too.

thanks

97-99 have less problem, but the 00+ have better look.(IMO)

If you want reliability and performance you should go 97-99.

00+ have more common problem.
Personaly i dont like the raised center cap on the wheel of the 2001, for sure it isnt a reason to not buy a 2001 lol .

2000 or 2001, thats the same.

Default 2000 vs 2001 Bonneville

Sorry, I don't have a whole lot of input because I'm not familiar with the 2000 Bonne.
I don't have a whole lot of complaints on my 2001, besides the headrests and the short life of the electric window motors. But I believe they are probably the same on the 2000, correct me if I'm wrong. The headrests aren't very good for preventing whiplash because they aren't flush with the edge of the seat.
My sister made me a cover for the headrest with additional padding in it. It is comfortable. I can lean my head back now without getting a kink in my neck. That'* about it. Dave SSEi, 2001 (black)
