Default How are your side tail lights holding up?

So is anyone having good luck with finding a bulb that lasts longer than a week in their rear side markers? I noticed they were out (probably since I had the car) and replaced them not even two months ago and I was behind my wife today and saw they are out again. This is ridiculous.

I started a thread about this back in June. It does seem to be a problem, but mine have been fine since I replaced them. Check out the link.

I saw that. Just wondering if they were still going strong for people. I can't remember what ones I ended up with last time, but I'll for sure look for the LL ones.

Do you use that socket grease when putting the new bulbs in?

You may want to consider using some the next time you install the bulbs. I'm not sure of the exact name, but its a kind of grease you add to the socket. I know it seems counterintuitive, placing a liquid substance into an electrical socket, but its supposed to help prolong the life of the bulbs. Just ask someone at Advance or wherever if your not sure what I'm talking about. Maybe someone else here can come up with the name, I'm drawing a blank at the moment. But your certainly not alone with this problem. Almost every 00+ Bonneville I see (except for mine) has at least one out. And it doesn't help that the owner'* manual doesn't even admit to their existence.

I believe you are talking about dielectric grease.

Both of mine are good, I didn't realize they were there either till I saw this thread last night.
