Picks will be coming sometime in the near future (see my "I finally found a Job!" thread in the Lounge for an explaination). Don't know if I'll have much time to wash the car and snap some pics. My beautiful bonnie is not so photogenic right now. She'* covered with a nice layer of dust...

Well, I've taken the plunge. After seeing all the great work you guys have done, I spent a day and cleared all my lenses. Then I spent another day washing the car (yes, a whole day!!)

For the lights, I installed Silverstars for the high beams, low beams, fog lights, and turn signals. The turn signal ones look especially nice as they simply have an irridescent hue to them when they are off, but they light amber.

Thanks for all of the great help and instructions!

Default Cleared Lights

Thanks for the feedback - much appreciated. It was a little harder to do the rears than I anticipated and the amber lenses came out in pieces. I've never done anything to customize the look of this car before, so it was a little nerve-racking. The fronts went smoothly, however, and I was able to easily remove the lenses intact, just in case...

Thanks again for the responses - great forum!

I've been toying with the notion of going all clear in the rear by pulling the red from the taillights and the center piece. As an alternate thought, what about trying to light up that center piece? What does everyone think?

It wasn't quite a fully formed thought when I posted the idea of clearing everything, but a quick search online solves the red stop/taillight bulb problem. I've found a few places online that sell some LED replacements that are clear when off but shine bright red when activated. They can be found other places as well as here:

http://www.chevychevy.com/pages/Bulb_Page.htm <-- these are "radial" lights that shine out the back and sides too

http://www.stylinconcepts.com/part.a.../CategoryID/26

and I also found these regular bulbs that have red glass around the filament and would require a good paint misting just like most of us have done with the amber lights. The red ones can be found here:
