P0716 code - speed sensor - can't locate

The part you want is to the left of the gears and chain. pump shaft is slightly to the left of the reluctor wheel. Sensor has to be there somewhere.

That is a nice breakdown, thanks for the info. That makes things look really complicated. The part number in the diagram is 438. I wonder how much of that actually has to come loose or out to get to the sensor?
