P/N for keyless remote for 2000 SLE?
What is the GM P/N for keyless remote for 2000 SLE? Local dealership parts guy won't provide it to me, just a $36 price.

Look on the back of your key fob.
Mine is #25695955 and should be the same as yours. I got mine on eBay for around $10. You will need to get it coded at the dealer or someone that has a real good scanner.

Bummer! I had already purchased a 25695955 based on your affirmative. Like several other forums, lots of opinions and little meat.

Read further and hold your typing a little longer grasshopper. You may take a moment to do your own research and find that any KOLLERBEAR (Copywritten term for the name on the back of the remote) should treat you fine, regardless of the exact number.

Cool, called I the dealership and was told the programming charge would be $20.
Wife takes the car & remote to the dealer. Serviceperson says they could not get the remote to program. :(
Wife buys a new remote for $90.
The ebayer listed the remote as functional.
I have been screwed out of $70 plus the cost of the ebay remote.
If the memebers of this forum are so knowledgeable, someone want to explain what went wrong? (Like that'* gonna happen.)
Meanwhile, I have a 25695955 remote for sale.
BTW The number on the new remote is 25665574. Who would have thought of that?

the member or members who steered you wrong just have there info incorrect, and unfortunatelly this got you the wrong part. I think you need to look at the sticky of the Remote thread and realize that we did have the info correct. the Person that gave you the PN for the remote has a 01 and just thought they were the same, as the facts that were gathered in the sticky were infact accurate.....
The fact of the matter is that if you would have had the FCC ID,,,,KOBLEARIXT the remote should have worked for you regardless of the Part number....
have you ever thought the Dealer was just trying to sell you a remote??
