Hi guys, I'm looking for a replacement to my tired old 1998 grand prix GTP. My GTP has almost 310k miles, and still runs great. Its on its 2nd engine and transmission, but nonetheless. I use it as my daily driver and its mostly stock, with the exception of 2000 intake/tb, and SD headers. Despite the mileage, it still runs smooth and straight at 80mph but I think its time to move on. The body is falling apart around the car as the rockers, rear strut towers, and other areas of the underbody are pretty much rotted through. I can't even use the factory jack point as it is no longer there, haha.

I'm sure a lot of people have experience with both cars and I'm just looking for opinions, pros/cons, etc for making the switch to an SLE. One thing for sure is that I'll miss the HUD. I've had it on a couple of my cars, and always find myself wanting to look at the speed on the windshield when I drive the g/fs volvo. Also, can the 02 SLE be tuned with DHP powertuner?

I'm torn between an 04+ GP, or this SLE bonneville. I have an 08 STS as my occasional cruiser, and I like the bigger feel that it has.

i think you could get a hud on a sle. not really a whole lot of difference in space and things between a gp and bonnie. you just have to watch the gears some of the 3800 gp'* were more performance and the 3800 sle'* actually get decent mileage as long as its not strictly city
