Well mine was giving me fits & causing the front breaks to lock up at random times without warning. After doing some looking I found that the front left wheel bearing was shot & I had to replace it. So far I haven't had any problems after replacing the bearing so hopefully that took care of it. I was driving around for the past few weeks with the ABS buss pulled so the system could not come on.
In other words, yes it is worth looking into. There is some reason your light is coming on & it'* better to catch it now than wait for it to become a bigger problem.

Just a thought...and I have no idea if it makes sense, but I see in your signature that you have 20" rims on your Bonneville. I'm just wondering if the difference in size of the rim would affect the Stabilitrak system...because it would change some of the variables that that system monitors.

I'm sure the Gear Heads and such will know more.

The most common cause is the steering position sensor. A bad wheel speed sensor can also cause that display to show up, but that generally trips the ABS warning also. The only way to know for sure is to have it scanned at the dealer, or a shop that has a scanner capable of reading those systems.
