is it a thread on at the housing and a clip on the side running to the guage?

The sender is threaded into the oil filter adapter and then a wiring harness is clipped onto the sender.

ok cool. I just wanted to make sure that I could replace it myself. I've only got limited hand tools, but a wrench I can handle.
