You would have to take the remote transmitters to a GM dealership and have them encoded to work in your car.

On the older models there was an option code in the RPO'* that signified if the option for remote entry was there.

I'm wondering if the car didnt' come with it.. is the remote module not in the car?

That'* what I'm saying.

If you don't have the remote accessory box in the car, then there'* nothing to code to. I know in 92-99 it was an option and wanted to make sure we checked your RPO sticker to make sure you have one before running up a bill at the dealer to find out it can't be done.

From the list that I have, check your RPO for AU0 - lock control remote entry. As Bill'* saying..no sense in buying the remote transmitter if there is nothing in the car to listen to it.

Remote Entry is part of standard equipment on an 02 SLE. I couldn't imagine one without. Does the car have a DIC?
