I should be alright tho right? I mean the original gasket lasted 7 years and when I pulled the pan off there was no RTV, just the gasket. Also, my oil pressure gauge barely fluctuates at all now, is that cause there is no longer a leak? I know all my questions seem kinda monotonous but I just like to be sure.

The oil pressure gauge fluctuations should not necessarily be affected by fixing a slight oil leak in the pan gasket, but you never know. The actual pressure side of the system is down stream of the pump and the pressure regulator. You might have had some debris in the regulator spring assembly and when you drained the oil, it might have removed it.

I run the same gasket as you and have had no issues. Jack the motor pretty frequently from the pan and all is well.
I agree on dabbing the corners where the front and rear cover attach, can't say much about adding the layer to the rest, except it'll be messy if it needs to be cleaned off later on. Should seal amazingly though.

my gauge is bouncing again. That doesn't mean a leak tho right? I looked at it didnt see anyhing leaking but I havent had a chance to jack it up yet

ya the oil pressure gauge, sorry I should of specified. Weird tho, it started bouncing again, not anything crazy just kinda fluctuates around 40 and above. It may have always done this but I never noticed it till last year when I did the LM gaskets. (I did the valve cover gaskets and intake gaskets with it too) I went for a drive again last night and it barely moved this time. I dont know maybe I'm jut goin crazy. I'm kind of a hypochondriac when it comes to my car. Basically I'm askin is the oil pressure gauge supposed to bounce or no?

The 00+ senders seem more prone to heading south than other ones, but there'* a chance the seals in it are leaking and that'* causing it to act funky on you. A fresh sender would probably remedy the situation. Although I can't be sure w/o further tests.
