Oil Pressure pegged at 120.... help please

Default Oil Pressure pegged at 120.... help please

Yay.... my oil pressure needle is pegged at 120....

could someone point me to a thread that explains the replacement of the sender unit or give me a walkthrough here?

Tons of threads.....click on the word "Search" at the top of the page, then just type in "oil pressure" and select "2000-2005" in teh Forum drop down menu, then hit the Search button

alright I went to RockAuto.com but it didnt have anything called an oil pressure sending unit. Is there another name it would be under?

Make sure you get the one that say w/guage or it won't work in the Bonnie. The other one is for the Grand Prix which don't have guages, just the dummy light.

Found 2 part numbers in here. Which one is correct for 2000-2005 Bonneville.
1. 12584940

It is GM part number 12584940 for the w/gauge
It is GM part number 12574309 w/o a gauge (only the dummy light)

2000+ have a gauge and the second one will not work with it.
