Fellas can you help with Ma'* heated seat problem
Ok Ma'* heated seat on the drivers side is not working. The pass side is fine. I keep hearing the module under the seat clicking like on and off every 10 seconds or so. The pass side clicks once and heats. I switched the modules and the pass side still works so I would guess the module is ok. Now does this mean the element itself is gone ? If so what would it cost to replace or is it something I could do myself and what would parts cost ? She really enjoys the seat and its good for her back problem too. Thank you very much !

Sorry I should have stated Ma'* car is a 1999 Park Ave and I searched the Search option but didint see anything that looked like this. Also someone said there is a thermostat module too. The light stays on but the module keeps clicking. I am hoping someone here can help me . Thank you

Thanks Will. Any clue who would be the best at figuring this out ? I know the dealer will rake her over the coals and she can't afford that. Do you know where the "thermostaor" is or how to check it ? There are 3 sets of wires off the module, 2 sets have 2 wires and the other has it looks like 5 or 6 wires. It only has a heat pad in the butt area and lumbar. I sure hope I can fix this, thanks again !

How do you know if the thermostator is bad ?? The light stays on but the module just keeps clicking. Is this what happens with a bad element ? Any idea how to know for sure and where to buy the element ? And how hard on this car is it to change or who would be best to advise ?? Thank you for the help

I can give you answers on Bonnevilles - I'm not familiar with exactly what may happen with your switch. If you are asking about the thermistor, it is part of the seat heater. The heater is available from the dealer, or online at GM Parts Direct. The way to know for sure is to test the heater. This will show information on the Bonneville that may help you. Check out all of the links, including the technical service bulletin.Seat Heater
