Coolant leak help?
The wife noticed the car leaking early this week. I came home to find that it was coolant.
Straight to the Bonneville Club I went.
(2000 SE) I drove the car up on ramps and could see the coolant dripping (1 drop per second) but cannot tell where the drip is coming from. It appears to be coming from above where the power steering pump pulley attaches to the engine. I did notice wet spots at the upper intake area where the fuel injectors are and at the upper coolant elbow but these were not the source of the dripping coolant. The water pump, heater hoses and lower elbow area is dry. Could it be coming from the rear area of the LIM gasket?

If you have coolant pooling around the injector valleys, you likely have a lower intake manifold gasket failure, at least starting, if not becoming serious. It could be leaking from the seal, and then dripping down near the water pump. The coolant elbow can leak in strange ways, also. I suggest that you replace the intake gaskets and elbows ASAP.
