Default Window malfunction

I just recently fixed my rear windows because there is a piece in the door panel that tends to break and causes the window to slide down and off track and I was just curious to see if any of you guys have had the typical Bonneville window malfunction (especially 2002)?

The broken regulator is a very common on the 2K+ style. I just replaced both of mine. I personally think it could've been designed better. The good side is the regulators are becoming affordable.

Glad to hear you have rear windows again

Yeah, well where i took mine the idiots replaced the whole window motor. It ended up costing $813 for 2 windows :( Wish they would have taken responsibility for this malfunction and fixed it for free but what you going to do lol

The regulators typically come with a motor so it usually gets replaced at the same time. It only costs a little over $100 if you had done it yourself. I had to replace my passenger rear one last fall and I rigged my driver rear one a few weeks ago so the window would stay up (didn't want to have to buy a regulator lol)

Getting the door panel off is the hardest part lol. After that its three nuts and two bolts, pull it out (secure the window so it don't fall), and pop the new one in.
