I don't have mine activated, not worth the money. I've had a mobile phone for years anyway. I always have the cell phone on my person.

I heard a commercial for it on the radio recently... now they can retreive codes for you. So if you get a check engine light they can tell you to worry or not to worry...
Only good use I know of so far.

Some time ago I read a neat little DIY article about how to jury-rig the OnStar GPS unit to accept a terminal into which a laptop is plugged. The article explained what you would have to do to load up the necessary GPS processing software and, of course, mapping software. The result was a real trick GPS mapping system. Has anyone run across this article? Now that would be helluva way to use at least part of the OnStar system.
