Programming Remote Keyless Fob
Hello all,
I have a 2000 Bonneville SE. The car DOES have the receiver under the back dash, however, it does not have a pin 8 in the DLC. The procedure listed in TECHINFO has you jumpering Pins 4 & 8 on the DLC. However, the factory service manual states that only pins 2, 4, 5 & 16 are used (Page 8-21) and the connector clearly matches the manual when you look at it.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Larry

Try this for Synchronization: Press and hold both the 'lock' and 'unlock' buttons at the same time for 7 sec.
The locks should go up and down a few times to confirm programming is done.
This needs to be done if you change batteries in the fob.
To program a new fob you need to go to the dealer, and good thing I dont want some kid buying a fob on ebay and getting my cd'* :P
