ANOTHER power window question....
I have a 2000 Bonny SE........
Here is what I know so far......
Drivers window WORKS fine/ Passenger window has new motor and regulator and WORKS "sometimes" dont know why.
Drivers rear has new motor and regulator but does NOT work.
Passenger rear does NOT work, motor and regulator condition unknown.
Drivers Door master switch lights up fine at night. "Lock" button for windows lights when pressed.
Individual door window buttons on any of the 3 doors do NOT work.
Power locks do NOT work.
ALL doors have +12v at orange wire at door modules.
Power mirrors WORK fine on both mirrors.
All fuses are ok.
Any ideas? Thanks guys.

before trying to diagnose any problems this check should be done. Then if DTC is set we can find proper diagnostic to run. If no DTC set than can check by symptoms.

Diagnostic System Check - Door Systems
Test Description
The number(*) below refer to the step number(*) on the diagnostic table.
Lack of communication may be due to a partial malfunction of the class 2 serial data circuit or due to a total malfunction of the class 2 serial data circuit. The specified procedure will determine the particular condition.
The symptom list in Symptoms will determine the correct diagnostic procedure to use.
The presence of DTCs U1161, U1162, U1163 or U1170 indicate one or more of the door modules is not communicating on the SBI circuits.
The presence of other DTCs which begin with "U" indicate some other system control module is not communicating. The specified procedure will compile all the available information before tests are performed.
Step
Action
Yes
No
1
Install a scan tool.
Does the scan tool power up?
Go to Step 2
Go to Scan Tool Does Not Power Up in Data Link Communications
2
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Attempt to establish communication with:
driver door module (DDM)
powertrain control module (PCM)
Does the scan tool communicate with the listed modules?
Go to Step 3
Go to Scan Tool Does Not Communicate with Class 2 Device in Data Link Communications
3
Select the Driver Door Module display DTCs function on the scan tool.
Does the scan tool display any DTCs?
Go to Step 4
Go to Symptoms
4
Does the scan tool display DTCs U1161, U1162, U1163 or U1170?
Go to DTC U1161 Loss of PDM Serial Data , DTC U1162 Loss of LRDM Serial Data , DTC U1163 Loss of RRDM Serial Data or DTC U1170 Loss of Driver Door Sw Asm Serial Data
Go to Step 5
5
Does the scan tool display any other DTCs which begin with a "U"?
Go to Scan Tool Does Not Communicate with Class 2 Device in Data Link Communications
Go to Step 6
6
Does the scan tool display DTC B1000, B1004, B1007, or B1009?
Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List/Type in Body Control System
Go to Step 7
7
Does the scan tool display DTC B1327 or B1328?
Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Type Definitions in Engine Electrical
Go to Step 8
8
Does the scan tool display B2757, B2762 or B2772?
Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List/Type in Seats
Go to Step 9
9
Does the scan tool display any DTCs that begin with "P"?
Go to Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check in Engine Controls - 3.8 L
Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List/Type

I just got an issue fixed similar to this on my 2000 SSEi, drivers side window and locked work fine, but the rest would not do anything. After four hours of diagnosing at the shop it seems water collected under my drivers side seat, fouling out a data cable used to communicate between the other 3 windows and locks. They drained the water out and voila! They all work.

try checking simple bus interface tan/wht wire runs from drvr door swtch assembly to ddm.
then from ddm to all other door modules. should be 0 or little resistance between components

Here are acouple of things you can check.
When testing Simple Bus Inteface(SBI) check for short to ground.
At DDM using ohmmeter from SBI to ground should be no reading.
Check for short to power.
with all 4 door modules disconnected from SBI test for voltage between SBI and ground with ign in run should be no voltage.
All door modules should have B+ votage at 2 orange wires (1 heavier gauge than othr)
if you can disconnect drvr door lock switch from drvr door swtch assembly (red/black-lock and orng/black-unlock) use test light connected to B+ voltage connect other end to each lock switch lead and operate switch accordingly. test light should light up.
