spun camshaft!
had a mechanic look at the bonnie a few weeks back. the key way spun on the end of the cam giving the out of time performance that had me scratching my head! new cam from rockauto$400, used motor from salvage yard $500. the search begins. have never seen a cam do that before.

If you are going to replace the cam, you may as well upgrade. Kill 2 birds with one stone.

i have a 3800 */2 with trans 4T65E if your interested ? came out of 99 olds 88 good shape 148k new starter, replaced plentum ran real good ?
